3M High Tower — Exhibition
Exhibition tower joinery at Bahrain Exhibition Centre, Zallaq
Logistics & installation of 1 ton, 3m high Madkhan tower. A three-metre display tower for an exhibition at the Bahrain Exhibition Centre in Zallaq, designed, built and installed in thirty days.
The constraint — a long-lead shipment against a thirty-day build
Exhibition dates are the only ones in construction that genuinely cannot move by an hour. The hall opens on the published day whether the stand is finished or not, and there is no negotiation available.
How we solved it — engineering a three-metre structure for a public hall
The difficulty on this one was the shipment. Materials with a long lead time on a thirty-day programme leave almost no margin, and the schedule had to be built backwards from the arrival date rather than forwards from the start — with the on-site work compressed into whatever remained once the shipping and the handling had taken what they needed.
What this means for bespoke and specialist work
A structure three metres high in a public hall is an engineering question before it is a finishing one. It carries its own weight, it is approached from every side, and it has to be stable among crowds. The engineering is resolved first; the finish is what people see.
