Ajmal Exhibition Stand
Exhibition stand joinery at Bahrain Exhibition Centre, Zallaq
Complete design & joinery works. A thirty-six square metre exhibition stand at the Bahrain Exhibition Centre, installed in three days.
The constraint — a three-day exhibition installation that could not slip
Exhibition deadlines are the only ones in construction that genuinely cannot move. The hall opens on the published morning whether the stand is finished or not, and there is no version of the conversation where it waits.
How we solved it — three shifts across two days to make the date
We ran three shifts across two days to make it. That is a decision taken when the job is priced, not a recovery halfway through — night working has to be manned, supervised and planned from the start, and a contractor who raises it as a variation in the final week was never going to make the date.
What this means for bespoke and specialist work
For anyone commissioning stand work, the useful question at tender is not how long the build takes but what happens if something arrives late. On a three-day installation there is no float at all, so the answer has to be resourcing rather than time.
